Day 1 of my journey with Living Health Integrative Medicine's detox journey is long gone, and Day 5 is already here! So far the 21-Day Paleo Detox has been SO much easier than I expected. I’ve had healthy snacks whenever I felt the need to, and can say there hasn’t been a moment when I felt like I wasn’t getting enough food. I’ve been able to eat out at a Japanese restaurant, a local dive in Ocean City, and even Red Lobster! They key was making the proper choices at each one, allowing me to stick to my plan.
Not only is the 21-Day Paleo Detox easy, but it is working. I weighed in this morning at 177.4, that’s 5.6lbs lost in only five days, with no exercise! I immediately thought it must be mostly water weight or dehydration, but then I recalled the 80-90oz of water I am drinking a day, so that is definitely not the case.
While the weight loss is great, what shocks me even more is how much better I feel! I’ve woken up the past two mornings before work, and instantly felt wide-awake. I have never been a morning person, and have always depended on a cup of coffee to avoid being groggy all morning. My morning routine is now much more efficient, and packing food for the day is a breeze with the handy pre-portioned packets that the detox provides.
I am eager to take my measurements next week to see what I’ve lost!
